Torn & Drawn

Local artist Susan will offer advice and guidance on the process of selecting and placing fabrics, words, music, threads, twine and other elements and framing these to create whimsical artworks. Create something unique for your home, holiday house or gift to a friend!

This hands-on art experience will cover the following

• Introduction and examples
• Hands on demonstration - understanding colours and textures
• Creative planning, paper tearing, embellishments
• Word/music preparation and placement
• Put it all together!

• Share your creations with some friendly ‘show & tell

What we provide

Everything you need to create your own “Out of Context” frame is provided – publisher run on pages, decorative papers, antique music, fabric, tapes and threads. A 15cm profiled timber and reflective glass frame is included in your kit. (Additional frames in alternative styles, colour and sizes subject to availability on the night.) Just bring your imagination! We will supply the rest! If you have a sentimental element, such as a swatch of fabric, wallpaper samples, vintage music, letter or postcard or other “flat” pieces that can be incorporated into your framed collage, do bring it along! Let’s see what we can create!
